Wheelchair Community Experience Workshop: Integrating Wheelchair Experience with Community Exploration to Reflect on Aging Population, Policy and Social Needs of Elderly Wheelchair Users
We collaborate with innovative partner, Education for Good, to provide a workshop for senior civil servants of Civil Service College. Our workshop advocate for innovation by combining community wheelchair experience with the themes of Hong Kong Aging Society & Carers’ Needs
1. Community wheelchair experience
2. Reflecting on the challenges and needs faced by wheelchair users and caregivers
3. Experience & test accessible facilities in Hong Kong’s aging society and discussing the utilization of resources
4. Discussing the changes in the demographic structure of elderly wheelchair users in the context of an aging population and policy implications
我們透過長者照顧者輪椅體驗主題的工作坊令參加者以第一身角度體驗年長輪椅使用者及照顧者的角色、促進參加者在面對香港不斷變化的高齡化社會挑戰，同時反思長者及照顧者相關的產品、服務、及資源運用上的準確性及需要性。
Through the workshop themed “Elderly Caregivers – Wheelchair Experience,” we provide participants with a first-hand perspective on the roles of elderly wheelchair users and caregivers. This workshop aims to promote participants’ understanding of the challenges posed by the rapidly aging society in Hong Kong. Moreover, it encourages reflection on the accuracy and relevance of products, services, and resource utilization related to the elderly and caregivers.
